August 31 to September 5, 2011 Hey Deaf Bikers! I am planning a motorcycle trip to the World Deaf Timberfest in Stayton, Oregon for the NCDB and the other bikers. Meet us at Denny's Restaurant at 998 9th, Williams (old town) near SR 20 and I-5 for breakfast on Wednesday August 31 at 9 am. We will leave Denny's at 10 am sharp. Our trip will take us going west on SR 20 through Clear Lake and turn onto US 101 going north. We will stop at Eureka for our first overnight. We will check in any motel on your own without making a reservation in advance. 2nd Day on September 1, we will continue our trip on US 101 north to Florence or Newport for our second overnight. We will check in any motel on your own without making a reservation in advance. 3rd Day, September 2, we will leave US 101 when we reach Lincoln City and go on SR 18 going east and then on SR 22 that will lead us via Salem to Sublimity near Stayton. We will check in at the Rodeway Inn & Suites, 300 SW Sublimity Blvd., Sublimity, Oregon 97385, 530-769-9579. Please make a reservation on your own at that Inn for 2 nights. After we check in, we will proceed to the Camp Taloali on Friday afternoon and Saturday. 4th Day on September 3, at Camp Taloali on your own. 5th Day on September 4, we will leave for home bound via US 395 or US 101 depending on what weather and we will vote on which route. Check in any motel, (No Reservation)! 6th Day on September 5 (Labor Day), we will continue our trip and arrive our final destination. Recommendations: Please bring jacket and chap due to cold weather along the coast. We will not participate in any DBA's activities because they schedule it for August 28-30. Welcome any biker to stay in my house overnight on the day before we leave on August 31. Be sure to let me know in advance. Any question about this trip? Feel free to vp me at 530 798 4790.
